Item Description
15" tall painted plaster. c. 1940. Great full figure image of Superman without the incised "S" on his chest and painted in a rarely-seen yellow/red color combination. Nicely detailed head has red facial accents on cheeks and mouth. Dark sparkle remnants remain on cape. This color version is often mistakenly thought to be Captain Marvel. Numerous scattered tiny black pinpoints of paint splatter as produced. Back of cape has 4" long streak of glue dripping down shoulder as produced from sparkle accent application. VF.
