Lot of one action figure and 4 comic books from the early days of Spider-Man's Black Symbiote costume. 6x10" blister card contains 4.25" tall action figure with flicker/flasher "Secret Shield." Marked "New! Black Costume!" Figure is produced as part of the Marvel "Super Heroes Secret Wars" line by Mattel ©1984 Marvel Comics Group. Original store price tag in upper left-hand corner. Blister has slightly yellowed with age but is o/w Mint. "Amazing Spider-Man" #252 was published in May, 1984 and features the first appearance of Spider-Man in his new costume. Light handling wear with pinch creases. Fine. #300 published May, 1988 and features the first full appearance of fan-favorite villain Venom. Pinch creases to spine. Fine/VF. #375 published Mar., 1993 features hologram cover with Venom story. Heavy pinch crease to spine. Fine/VF. "Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars" #8 published Dec., 1984 features an early appearance of the black Spider-Man costume and explains that it is a living Symbiote alien. Light handling. VF-.
