Auction 192 - Part II
Item numbers 1053 though 2638 in auction 192
Item Description
5.5x10.5x8" tall. This is identical in size and design to a rare ceramic figurine by Zaccagnini and even has the same style incised series number on back of one foot "W/40." However, the Zaccagnini figurines are high quality ceramic while this is solid painted plaster but believed to be from the same time period c. 1947. This is the first we've seen of this plaster version, the Zaccagnini figurine was sold by us earlier this year for over $4,000. The feet of the pigs have some small scattered paint flakes. Piece has some additional scattered flakes which have been professionally touched up and all blend nicely. Typical scattered crazing. Fine.
