Portions read "Dear Mike, I am very happy to inform you that the name which you suggested for my new pony was selected by our judges as a prize winner. Although you are not selected as the grand prize winner, the judges felt that your entry was so unusual that they are awarding you a Monarch Super DeLuxe bicycle, equipped with U.S. Royal tires, headlight and built-in horn and a year's fire and theft insurance. You should receive your bicycle within the next three weeks. Sheriff Mike Shaw, Wash and all the Ralston Straight Shooters join me in congratulating you on your fine entry. Ad goes on to list first prize and shows second prize group being "250 Super Special Monarch Bikes." Inked notation on ad reads "Regular/Box Top/Rojalito 11-9-48" w/contestant's name beside it. Also in ink is "Instant Entry Blank/Lariateer" w/contestant's name again and date of 11-9-48. Ad is missing the 2x3.25" lower right corner where contestant name and entry was cut out.
