Addressed to contestant in Burbank, Cal. Inked notation on envelope reads "Rec'd 12-27-48." Top of envelope is torn open. Letter inside is dated Dec. 24, 1948. Portions read "Dear Mike, I am very happy to inform you that the name which you suggested for my new pony was selected by our judges as a prize winner. Although you are not selected as the grand prize winner, the judges felt that your entry was so unusual that they are awarding you a Monarch Super DeLuxe bicycle, equipped with U.S. Royal tires, headlight and built-in horn and a year's fire and theft insurance. You should receive your bicycle within the next three weeks. Sheriff Mike Shaw, Wash and all the Ralston Straight Shooters join me in congratulating you on your fine entry. We are proud to count you among our Ralston eating friends; and we know you're going to enjoy your prize. Sincerely Curley Bradley/The Tom Mix Of Radio." Stamped signature of Bradley. Inked notation on letter is 12/27/48. Pencil notation reads "Thanks Card 1/13/49." Third item is 6.5x14" ad from Sunday Funnies w/text including "Boys/Girls/Big Tom Mix 'You-Name-It' Contest!/Just Name This Pony."
