13x17.5" cardboard countertop display with easel on back contains four different boxed watch sets. c. 1952. Each set has elaborately designed packaging and watches are Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Cinderella and Hopalong Cassidy. Each of these characters are represented on the display with their title and/or images. Cost of each was $6.95. Display shows all-over aging which includes some scattered tiny tan spotting as well as some moisture spotting. Lower left corner has a .5" tear at die-cut slot. Despite the aging, still has a glossy appearance. VG. As designed, the display holds only the box bottoms but each comes with lid so all are complete as issued. The special packaging includes a die-cut Mickey figure to hold the Mickey watch, saddle to hold Hoppy, plastic shoe for Cinderella and "Magic Mirror" packaging for Snow White. However, the Cinderella box contains an Alice In Wonderland watch (also by US Time). Mickey box has some fading, Fine. Straps show wear, VG, dial is Exc. Snow White has typical wear to the "mirror" silver backing but box remains VF. Fabric band shows aging, dial is Exc. Cinderella box shows aging, Fine. Slipper and Alice watch are Exc. Hoppy box has noticeable dust soiling and some edge splits with glue repair to interior. Lid VG, saddle has a few light creases, VF. Watch has leather straps with western symbols. Watch is Exc. All watches work. A rare display, first we've ever offered.
