Item Description
Ten-piece tea set, each marked "Copyrighted Rose O'Neill Wilson - KEWPIE - German." c. 1910. Set includes 5.5" tall teapot, 3.75" tall covered sugar bowl, 2.75" tall creamer, two 1-7/8" tall tea cups, three 4.5" dia. saucers with two 5.25" dia. saucers. Each piece (with exception of coverings) besides small saucers have scenes showing Kewpie characters, including several images of Kewpie with "K" flag attached to trademark point of hair on head. Sugar bowl has small chip to inside lip which is not visible when covered, teapot has hairline crack in lid, one small saucer has 1.5" line in glaze, one large saucer has .5x.75" chip to underside of plate lip and a 1" hairline. Some light wear to raised areas on saucers but overall set still displays Exc.
