Item Description
Based on the famous Belgian cartoon created by Georges Remi, lot of 5 includes 3 bagged puppets including Tintin, Tomson and Captain Haddock. These 3 have header card which reads "Theatre Tintin" and are sealed as issued. Light wear to soft vinyl faces including some color rubs to noses and a small dot of discoloration to Tintin's forehead. Exc. with N. Mint bodies. Two loose puppets include Tintin's companion Snowy the dog who has heavy wear to felt body at neck, having several stitching repairs. Dust soiling to head. VG. Second loose puppet is Professor Calculus who has some soiling to fabric body and dust soiling to head, most noticeable on white collar. Fine. Puppets with soft vinyl heads and cloth/felt bodies measure approximately 9" tall and are unmarked but produced in the 1960s for the European market. From the Andy Levison Collection.
