Item Description
1.25" gold metal case contains hand-colored dial showing the Latin music sensation holding guitar, his hands making up hour and minute hands. Aside from his name, "Trini Time" text also appears. 1972. Original fabric band. One of only a very few Lopez had made to give as gifts. Back of watch is inscribed "To Snuff - From Trini Xmas '72." Snuff is in reference to legendary record producer Snuff Garrett, who was Lopez's producer. Garrett also produced music for Bobby Vee, Gene McDaniels, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, Johnny Burnett and Sonny & Cher. Garrett also hired Phil Spector as a producer for Liberty Records and went on to have his own record label, Snuff Garrett Records. Watch case has some wear to luster but dial remains bright and clean and in working order. Band has some light aging. Exc.
