Item Description
5.25" tall and 9" dia. Tin litho body with linen-like fabric drum heads. 1930s by Noble & Cooley who produced many different Mickey toy instruments. Nice wrap-around scene featuring Mickey and Minnie, Donald, Horace, Clarabelle and Pluto who has a large "Mickey Mouse Band" drum strapped to his back. Has original string binding with die-cut leather accent pieces. Drum heads have moderate aging with some moisture spotting more so on bottom than top. Bottom also has 4" strip where drum head is slightly loose from edge but still remains firmly intact o/w. Moderate scattered luster loss to the top and bottom silver rim edges. Wrap-around scene shows only light aging and remains glossy and colorful. Fine. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
