Item Description
10x14.5x2.5" deep box contains 1930s set. Box has obvious dust soiling with some additional scattered wear/aging. Fine. Set includes 8" long painted pressed steel wind-up engine with original key, tin litho cars including coal car and caboose marked "New York Central" and hopper marked "Northern Pacific/General Coal Company." Instruction sheet with original fold lines and yellowing/aging is included, the original key and original envelope also is here however, key has overall light oxidation. No track present, but this is generic Marx track and can easily be replaced if desired. Wind-up engine works but no longer sparks due to missing flint. Plated cover on top of engine has slight discoloration, rear cab roof has 1" scratch. 3 remaining cars have very tiny traces of wear/aging as produced but set remains Exc./N. Mint. Old store stock.
