Item Description
First seen button shows eastern PA based musician/leader of cowboy/cowgirl band originating in 1931 on York, PA station WORK. Button is c. 1938 and names "Radio Park" a venue about 100 miles from York in Booth's Corner near Chester, PA where country-western celebrities performed. When young Bill Haley, of later rock and roll fame, in 1947 was musical director of that local radio station WPWA, he would recruit Sunday performers for 1/2-hour specials where he would interview them and ask them to sing or play. Button has couple dot stains on reverse curl but front is 99% clean. Rare. Displays N. Mint.
