2-1/8" tall ornately embossed brass decoder badge from 1942 with his glossy bw photo inset at top center. This is an original photo, not a replacement. Below the photo are a pair of American flags and the center dial area has airplane motor and propeller design. Most examples have missing or replaced photo as kids were instructed to remove the Captain's photo and replace it with one of themselves. Two faint emulsion hairlines on photo. Area on brass back without luster but all of front is glossy and N. Mint.
