Item Description
c. 1953 toy by Peter Puppet Playthings Inc. has overall size of 11.5x16x5" tall and comes in box nicely illustrated including die-cut insert. Lid features Tinker Bell with additional characters on two side panels. Lid has noticeable aging with dust soiling/spotting, 3" faint moisture stain at center, small bit of inking. Box bottom has two corner splits, few other small edge splits. VG. Toy has tin litho base with attached metal bells as well as a 6" long hard plastic figure of Tinker Bell with fabric wings accented by gold sparkles. Tinker Bell holds a metal striker and front of the toy has a rod used to move Tinker Bell in order to strike the bells. In front of each bell is an illustrated music note with number and character image. These corresponding illustrated music notes appear in the song booklet and designed to teach the child how to play songs by using these identified characters. Booklet lightly aged but clean, Fine. Toy shows very little wear, Exc. Very interesting design. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
