Item Description
7.25x13.25x1" deep box contains set No. 2-1/2 with copyright 1913. Made by the American Mechanical Toy Company of Dayton, Ohio who was an early competitor of Erector. Lid label reads "The World's Greatest Mechanical Wonder/Indestructible, Highly Entertaining, Practical And Instructive/All Mechanical Principles Clearly Demonstrated." Box lid has moderate edge wear including two corner splits and a side panel split all with clear tape repairs. Noticeable soiling to the label with a few edge chips. Box VG. Set comes with paperwork including information card and packer's slip although instruction booklet is missing. Box is full of parts but no guarantee as to completeness. Many of the metal pieces have surface oxidation. Contents VG/Fine. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
