Item Description
13x25.5x4" deep box contains set #54752. 1959. Box design includes small photo of Dale Robertson as Jim Hardie. Box has obvious aging and scattered light moisture staining. Right side panel lid has 3.5" split. O/w corners remain tight. Box VG. This is one of three different Wells Fargo sets to include an electric train. This set has 9" long hard plastic/metal "Wm. Crooks" 4-4-0 Locomotive, Tender With "Tales Of Wells Fargo" imprint, No. 1 Baggage Car, No. 3 Passenger Coach, ten sections of track and a transformer. The 2 cars are tin litho and marked "St. Paul & Pacific." The train itself is complete including small accessory pieces all intact but has not been tested. Displays Exc. This set includes tin litho single story western town building complete with 2 saloon doors. This building includes "Wells Fargo Office" which is an exclusive design to this set. Has complete stagecoach with horses but missing the driver. Accessory pieces include tree, totem pole, rifle crate, water trough, board bench, two different chairs, street lamp, two different hitching posts. Figures include Jim Hardie, 6 of 18 cowboys and 11 of 15 Indians. 2 of 4 horses. Other accessories are missing including all of the tiny accessories such as pistols, canteens, etc. The building, figures and other accessories show typical light wear but overall set remains VF/Exc. A rare Marx set. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
