Item Description
Record, nearly 10" dia., is captioned "Humorous Monologue." "B" side with same caption is titled "Will Rogers Tells Traffic Chief How To Direct Traffic." Record N. Mint. Victor sleeve has small piece off one edge. With record comes 1¢ U.S. Postal card. 3.25x5.5". Card is tan and has been folded twice. Front is addressed to "Henry Ford Dearborn, Mich." Card has the St. Pete postmark as well as second stamp reading "Henry Ford Secretary's Office" with date of Oct. 19, 1936 partially written over by penciled word "Save." Card has inked text: "Don't You Want To Sell Any Democrat Your D--- Old Cars. I've Got One Of Them 1936 - Couldn't Have Bought It But For Roosevelt - Now You Declare For A Mouse From Kansas - Do You Want More Hoover & Rep. Prosperity?? You (crossed out in pencil apparently by Ford's secretary) Rat-Tat-Tat (signed by sender George Dawson with St. Petersburg, Florida address and dated 10/15/36)." Unique and VG.
