Item Description
Large format 10x14.75" w/32 pages © 1941 Fawcett Publications Inc. Cover art repeated front and back of large image of Captain Marvel w/smaller inset "Whiz Comics" comic book cover. Top page margins have ad for Whiz Comics and mentions "Get A Copy So You May Color All Characters Properly." Nice illustrations throughout including many action scenes such as Captain Marvel saving a princess, smashing a plane, fighting a dragon, scoring a touchdown, etc. Two pages have been neatly colored. Contents are lightly aged, each page has 1" margin tear. Cover has moderate scattered wear and aging, pair of .5" edge tears, 2" spine split, .5" tear at bottom center w/some small pencil streaks. Covers also have trace of moisture but only really visible on blank inside covers, trace of staple rust. Despite the defects, cover color remains strong and contents are still clean. VG. Scarce.
