1.75" with W&H backpaper shows freezing soldier with wind blowing his hat off as icicles hang from his rifle and nose. At center is frozen spigot and right is an anthropomorphic thermometer reading zero degrees. Text is "On Guard In The 'Sunny South'." Hake Book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Spanish American War section #131. Comes with Hake's COA. Couple tiny cello bumps but of no consequence. Exc., displays Mint. Only example known to us. Rare.
