Item Description
5.25x8.5". Pictures of Louis and Baer on front of menu. Text reads "Washington Times Baer-Louis Fight Special To Yankee Stadium New York/Sept. 24, 1935 Via Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Souvenir Menu." Inside has dinner menu in center with top reading "On Board The Washington Times Baer Louis Special." Then listed alphabetically are all of the passengers on board the special. The list continues on the back cover. Stapled inside is a 5x8" sheet with text starting "An Appreciation." The text gives guidelines as to having a safe, comfortable enjoyable journey to the fight and back. Newcomer Joe Louis beat Baer who once held the heavyweight title. An interesting and early Joe Louis item in Exc. condition.
