Item Description
5'8.5"x7'11" fine black mesh w/felt attachments. Banner has felt "word bubbles" w/Batman TV show sound effects "Pow, Bang, Wham" on mesh. Banner has no images of Batman but the consignor of this item saw it on exhibit when it was new behind a display of 1966 Batman merchandise in Bergner's department store in Peoria, Ill. This huge banner was professionally made to exacting standards by carefully layering and gluing differently colored and shaped fabrics onto a black netting substance. Felt has some st. aging and some fading to blue areas. Mesh material has several 6" to 1.5' tears at bottom of banner but this material was made to be see-through and are not that noticeable unless under close inspection. 2x3" area of discoloration on one word bubble, .25" spot on another. Impressive and interesting Batman display piece. VF appearance.
