Item Description
2.5x4.5x.75" thick. Elaborate silvered metal case with cigarette lighter on top. Top portion of front shows front view of propellered plane with the words "New York, U.S.A./Istanbul, Turkey" around it. The lower 3" of the item is a spring-loaded cigarette case with an elaborate/detailed image of "Cape Cod" surrounding the profiles of "Russell Boardman - John Polando" with text above reading "Epic Non Stop Flight 5,011 Miles." Lower text reads "Welcome Home/Hyannis, Mass./Aug. 26, 1931." Lighter has tiny bit of wear from use. O/w all bright silver luster remains. Tiny scuffs visible under close inspection (not offensive). An elaborate/detailed early aviation item.
