Item Description
Each is 1.5" real photo. Backpapers have three dates from 1894 and 1896 which match W&H patents, but their name is not on the papers. Penciled long ago on chair scene backpaper is "Little Egypt 1904" while on one with tambourine-like object on her head number "500" in apparent same pencil is written on backpaper. Likely purchased at St. Louis Expo on "The Pike," the amusement area where Little Egypt performed the hootchie-kootchie. Originally in the Joe Stone collection and only examples known to us. Hake Book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Vaudeville section #1030/1031. Both Exc., displaying Mint. Possibly unique surviving examples. Comes with Hake's COA.
