Item Description
8.5x11". 1933. Type-written letter with Tom Mix checkerboard square letterhead. Has Tom putting his honor on the line due to shortage of premium. Text includes "You Must Think Your Old Pal Tom Mix Has Gone Back On You. But I haven't. No, Indeed!" noting that almost 200,000 boys and girls have ordered guns and only a few thousand a day can be made. Refers to previous item #1763. Letter closes "Wishing You A Merry Christmas. Your Sincere Friend, Tom Mix" with facsimile printed signature. PS notes that he is sending along his western catalogue with 3 premiums for Ralston box tops. Lightly tanned overall, three folds as issued. Fine. Premium gun was issued in 1933. Second we've seen. Rare.
