Item Description
Lot of 4 items from the Junior Birdmen of America club from the 1930s. 1-11/16" wide brass wings pin with rwb enamel shield center. Issued for the popular aviation club sponsored by Hearst's newspapers. Pair of tiny holes at bottom where small bars were to be added as member advanced in rank. A VF example overall, with minor wear to brass luster. 3.75x2.25” silver cardboard membership card with facsimile signature of George Hearst. Card is in VF condition with only minor Lt. edge wear. 3.75x2.25” rwb “Eagle Membership Test” card features a stamped membership number and a facsimile signature of National Club Director Lawrence Shaw. Card is VF with only the slightest surface wear. A 8.5x11” club letter notifying individual that the membership committee has accepted their membership application. Letter features facsimile signatures of George Hearst and clubs national and local directors. Several lt. fold lines where letter was folded for inclusion in club mailing. Scattered wear along edges with two .25” tears to left edge of letter. Fine.
