Item Description
13x13x3.5" deep box contains nice quality bag by National Leather Manufacturing Co. Inc. c. 1955. Box notes it can be used as a "School Bag, Utility Bag, Travel Bag." Lid includes image of Fess Parker as Davy on top and all 4 side panels. Box worn with edge creases, obvious color rubs but remains glossy and tight. VG. Bag is canvas with vinyl trim including fringes, front flap is stiff embossed leatherette. Front flap has die-cut star and fringe attachment along with buckle. Complete with adjustable shoulder strap. Front flap features Davy holding flintlock pistol, "Frontierland" is in the bkg. Metal rivet holding star attachment has trace of oxidation, back o/w shows just light aging as boxed over the years but unused and displays N. Mint. Only the second boxed example we've ever offered, the previous one sold for $660.
