Item Description
Each piece is 2.5" dia. by 1.25" tall in a dark greenish-black marbleized bakelite-like plastic. The lid of each has highly detailed raised images, one of Mickey on tiptoes as if dancing with hands extended and one of early long-billed Donald standing with open beak. Each of these pieces was originally sold with a small sponge on the interior meant to be dampened and then used to moisten postage stamps. The sponges are gone but the containers are o/w Mint. No Disney markings but likely they had paper labels as each image is a precise studio-approved rendition. We've seen only a couple of each over many decades. Scarce.
