Item Description
Lot of two. 8.5x11" letter issued to "Supervisor Of Music" dated March 4, 1942. "Fantasia" letterhead featuring character illustrations issued by RKO Radio Pictures Inc. with facsimile signature of vice president Ned E. Depinet. Letter promotes the artistic merits of the film and encourages recipient to "Suggest To The Theater Manager A Special Showing For The Musical, Educational And Cultural Leaders In Your Community." The film was released in Nov. of 1940 and presented in "Fantasound" but as this letter notes, it has been re-recorded to a single sound track so it could be presented in any theater. Margins lightly aged but letter has not been folded, Exc. Letter does mention that it comes with a copy of the film's program. This is present and is 9.5x12.75". ©1940 with 28 pages including photos, film scenes and detailed text. Noticeable cover aging and wear with creases, small corner tips missing from cover, etc. VG. The letter is rarely seen and an interesting Fantasia-related item.
