Item Description
7.25x8.25" cardboard "frame" designed like TV set holds 14 numbered 5-7/8x6.75" paper sheets with illustrations and Japanese characters at bottom. First sheet shows image of Superman and his rocket escaping from exploding Krypton. Others show Clark Kent with Superman image behind him, Lois Lane, three train scenes; 8 tell the story of "The Arctic Giant," a Fleischer Superman cartoon released in 1942. Superman appears on 5 of the 14 cards. c. 1950s. When placed in "TV" frame, sheets and text give appearance of being on TV. "Frame" has edge wear and dust soiling as well as two .5" creases by TV knobs. Fine. Title card sheet has dust soiling and aging and is Fine. Remaining sheets have aging and some scattered dust soiling. VF overall. Neat design and first we've seen.
