Item Description
17x28" thin cardboard sign for Sept. 28, 1953 showing of "The Original Uncut Version, Never Surpassed!," Frankenstein. Starring Boris Karloff, film was shown for 2 performances only at the Bath Opera House in Bath, ME. Nice large image of Karloff as the Monster with text "He Lives!, He Breathes!, He Sees!, He Walks!, Will He Destroy You?, We Dare You To See It!" Bottom of poster also has scenes with Dwight Frye and Colin Clive from the classic 1931 Universal horror film. Images are slightly off-register. .25" hole puncture at bottom margin. .5x1.5" tape strip at top of image area and 1.75" tear at top of image area which somewhat blends. Dust soiling to marquee at top. Still displays Fine. Striking design.
