Item numbers 800 though 2307 in auction 193
Item Description
Approximately 11x13" tooled leather bag, possibly made as a school shop project. We believe this piece to date to the 1940s. Front of bag shows nicely detailed image of Superman flying, vivid blue and red color remaining. Superman's shorts and legs have been mis-colored but still displays nicely. Superman figure has three 1/8" holes where attachment was at one point fastened but these do not greatly detract from overall appearance. Back of bag has two separate tooled images of Superman, same coloring scheme as on front. Bag also has "Jimmy" name tooled on back and flap. Bag is put together with leather strips. Bag shows wear from use, mostly along edges but still displays Fine. Something different for the Superman collector who has it all.
