Item Description
We believe these dolls to be FAO Schwarz Exclusives. Produced in 1962 by Aboriginals Ltd., Morticia originally sold for $19.95. Inspired by the artwork of Charles Addams, dolls were sold 2 years before premier of ABC-TV show "The Addams Family." Morticia doll stands about 56" tall and has starched linen face with braided string hair and stuffed cloth body. Moderate scattered soiling to face and hands, nose has tiny dent. Colors remain strong and doll retains a Fine appearance. Wednesday doll stands 19" tall and has starched cloth face with felt eyes and braided string hair. Fabric-stuffed body. Outfit has scattered fading, face and hands have moderate staining. Fine appearance. Comes with period clipping from magazine showing Morticia propped up against tombstone. Rare and the first we've offered in 41 years.
