Item Description
13.5x17" high density cellulose paper with fabric hem and drawstrings. c. late 1960s. Apron is silk-screened with Warhol's famous spoof on Campbell's soup cans. Apron came to us from a consignor who has several decades of experience on the New York fashion scene and met Warhol on several occasions. Apron has been folded once vertically and once horizontally and stored in a paper bag since it's time of purchase. Even age toning, with .75-1" darker age toning strip at top. Exc. Warhol also released "Souper" paper dresses, one of which recently sold at auction for $2000.00. Only example we've seen.
