Item Description
3.5x7x1.75" deep box contains complete and correct four bisque figures from the 1930s each about 3.5" tall, each marked "Made In Japan." Box has paper label depicting 3 different Mickeys playing instruments while rest of the box has generic rwb design. This same style box was used for both 3-piece and 4-piece sets and carries the number at the upper left "66/1506." Box has some scattered paper loss plus some white touch-up paint added most notably as the white stripe beneath the Mickey figures plus about half the white stripe on the top edge of the box lid. In addition, the interior of the lid has cardboard reinforcements around the 4 lid skirts and the front original skirt is largely replaced. Overall box is in VG condition and displays nicely. The bisques are "C69" Minnie with mandolin which has very tiny 1/16" flake of bisque off the bottom front tip of one shoe. Second is "C71" Minnie playing a concertina. This has a glue repair around the neck with a little yellowish tone from excess glue on one side of her face but overall figure displays well. The Mickey bisques are "C72" with drum which is N. Mint and Mickey "C73" with horn which has .25" spot of black paint off reverse of one ear but o/w N. Mint. The lower part of the box has a very neatly constructed cardboard reinforcement on its interior along with traces of the original wrapping paper for the bisques and the original cardboard dividers dividing the lower box into 4 sections. Bisques all display bright and clean.
