Item Description
Very interesting design for this 1950s game by Rand McNally. The box is well worn with top two main end flaps missing plus obvious wear to top margins. However, images of Mickey and Donald on two side panels remain nice for display. The game consists of a 10" tall tin litho globe that serves as the gameboard and comes with two small 1" tall die-cut cardboard playing pieces with magnets. These are Goofy and Pluto, others are missing. On the top of the globe is a spinner and attached to this is the original tag featuring Mickey. The globe is decorated all over with images of the different areas of Disneyland including rides, attractions and additional large image of Davy Crockett at Frontierland. Base has Disney character images including Mickey and Minnie, Donald, Tinker Bell, Pablo Penguin, Willie the Whale, others. Globe has minute scattered paint marks but overall remains Exc. Great design and Scarce. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
