Auction 194 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 880 in auction 194
Item Description
5x9". Opens to 9x20". Two-sided, four-section fold-out. Delightful illustration on front of "The Wall Street Twins." Davis and Coolidge are depicted as puppets being 'worked' by large hands marked "Morgan" (as in J.P. Morgan). Front text includes "Why The People Cannot Support Davis Or Coolidge For The Presidency/LaFollette-Wheeler Progressive Headquarters Chicago Illinois." Inside is full page photo of Robert M. LaFollette. Lengthy text discusses John W. Davis' connection to big business as well as attacks on both Coolidge and Dawes for their connections to the banking industry and Wall Street. Two and a half pages explain the benefits of LaFollette and the Progressives including "What LaFollette Has Done For Women/What LaFollette And The Progressives Have Fought For And Accomplished/Why You Should Fight For LaFollette." One very fine tan line appears on back edge fold, not affecting illustration or LaFollette picture. VF.
