Item Description
14-1/8x20" stiff paper poster for march organized by anti-Vietnam organization which took place Nov. 15, 1966. March began 7:00 A.M. at Pier 29 and proceeded to Polo Field's Golden Gate Park for a 2:00 P.M. rally. Stylized text at top is Bible verse Isaiah 2:4 reading "And He Shall Judge Among The Nations, And Shall Rebuke Many People: And They Shall Beat Their Swords Into Plowshares, And Their Spears Into Pruning Hooks." Center art is of George Washington giving the peace symbol and standing next to a German soldier who is giving thumbs down and his helmet bears "666." Great design by Wes Wilson w/printing by Tea Lautrec. A few very minor handling marks, visible only in reflected light. Exc.
