Item Description
Large 10.5x15.5" book. 1936 KFS copyright. No. 310 by Pleasure Books, Chicago. Six stiff cardboard sheets consist of stage, outdoor scene backdrop and puppets. All puppets remain intact and attached. Characters include Popeye, Olive Oyl, Swee' Pea, Wimpy, Toar (a strong man), Slugger (Popeye's boxing opponent in "The Battle Of The Century"). Nice front cover art with large image of Popeye behind set up Thimble Theater. Bottom has scene from each of the four acts. Cover text notes "Puppets That Dance And Move Their Heads, Arms and Legs." Light dust soil. Tape inside back cover to reinforce loose perforations of back cover scene. A few loose perforations. Overall light aging. Covers VF. Contents Exc. Rarely seen.
