1-1/8" dia. silvered metal case. Beautiful celluloid dial featuring Mickey whose hands point at the numerals plus second hand disc with 3 tiny Mickey images. From 1933. This first version features an image of Mickey quite different from the second version dial (second version was offered in Auction #192, item #1737). This early image was updated after a very brief period of time to a more traditional Mickey image. Comes with original plain brown leather straps. Tiniest trace of wear to the case but near full silver luster remains. Case and straps are Exc. while dial is N. Mint. Only the second time we've seen this variety in our 41 years, the previous example we offered sold for $3,200 back in 1999. A true rarity in the world of character timepieces.
