Item Description
This magazine, although similar in format and design, is not to be confused with the promotional magazines issued by dairies from Nov. 1933 through Oct. 1935 (see Vol. 2 set #1569). This is from a series distributed by dairies and leading stores through their local theaters from Jan. of 1933 through Sept. of 1933, only 9 issues were printed and all are rarely seen. This issue is Vol. 1, No. 6, June 1933. 5.25x7.25" with 16 pages, contents are in bw. This is special Father's Day issue. Inside front cover has checklist for Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphony shorts. Stories in this issue based on shorts include Mickey in "Ye Olden Days" and Silly Symphony "Bird In Spring" both with film scenes. Additional cartoons and illustrations throughout mainly of Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Backcover has imprint of "Stark Dry Goods Canton Ohio." Cover has light aging mostly to margins. Front cover has .25" tear at top center, minor crease at lower right corner. Backcover has some fingerprint smudges on margins. Cover still remains quite clean and Fine. Contents only slightest aging. VF/N. Mint. Overstreet 2008 value in Fine = $700, VF (highest grade listed) = $1350.
