Item Description
3.5" dia. pinback with bluetone photo image of Bette Davis and attached 6.75" and 8.5" ribbons. Shorter blue ribbon has white text reading "Bette Davis-Birthday Party-Apr. 5th 1941-Littleton N.H." Davis spent much of her free time in New Hampshire. Second, longer red ribbon has yellow text reading "Guest." Elaborate ribbon badge for Davis' 33rd birthday. Birthday celebration coincided with premiere of her movie "The Great Lie" in Middleton, NH. Ribbons show light fraying and wear to silk-screened lettering with a few snags in fabric where ribbons meet pinback. Pinback has rim indent at 1 o'clock, 12 o'clock area has 5" area of surface nicks and scratches. Four .25" cello scratches with only one on her hair that really shows. Still glossy, bright and Fine. Rare one-day event button.
