Item Description
11x14" cardboard has superb color art of Spark Plug sweating and pulling large wagon being driven by Barney Google with cartoon characters inside and running alongside. Characters shown include Felix the Cat, Der Captain, Hans, Maggie, Toonerville Trolley Skipper, Boob McNutt, Sappo from Thimble Theater, Abie the Agent, Joe Jinks, Mac from Tille and 4 others. Buck Printing Co. of Boston, Mass. c. late 1920s. Text across bottom reads "30 Comics Boston Sunday Advertiser." Blue letter "C" of "Comics" in text at center has 1.25" hairline from printing process, "Every Sunday" black text has trace of yellow on a few letters from printing process. N. Mint and only example we've seen. Rare.
