Item Description
7.75x10" plain softcover bound volume collects "Top-Notch Laugh Comics" numbers 31-32, 35-41. Published by MLJ Magazines Inc. between Dec., 1942 and Nov., 1943. Includes stories of the super hero Black Hood as well as two extremely early Archie ads. Ad shows Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica. One full page ad features Archie looking on in disbelief at a spilled ink well as characters Squoimy D'Woim, Bumbie the Bee-Tective, Judge Owl and Cubby cartoon characters appear from ink. 9 comics in all. Bill Woggin art and stories. From the Lloyd Jacquet collection. Covers remain flat, glossy and retain bold colors. Covers have been slightly trimmed by binder and issues have light aging to edges but overall books are VF. Cover has significant aging to spine and handling wear. According to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, Fine value for these comics equal $1,080.00. Great collection of Golden Age comics.
