Item Description
Lot of 4 cloth-bound, hardcover books written by Oz creator L. Frank Baum. "The Wizard of Oz" printed by Bobbs Merrill c. 1920-1930s. Fifth edition, second state with 208 pages, 8 color plates. Features illustrations by noted Oz artist W.W. Denslow. "The Road to Oz" published by Reilly & Lee post-1935 and does not contain color plates and is an earlier printing with publisher's ad in the front. "Kabumpo In Oz" also published by Reilly & Lee. 1922 first edition, first state and has 12 color plates. Dorothy appears on page 299. "Sky Island" is not an Oz book, but was still written by Baum and published by Reilly & Lee. We believe this to be a c. 1920 printing. Last title listed on publisher's ad page is "Glinda of Oz." Book contains 12 color plates. All have general wear and aging. "Kabumpo" has insect tunnel starting at right-hand margin that runs approximately .5" into pages. VG/Fine.
