Item Description
This is an actual, usable youth-size leather horse saddle. c. 1950s. 16" wide by 19" long. Tooled leather with 6x12" fenders (sides of saddle) between seat and stirrup. Has 3.5x4.75" oval embossed image of Hoppy. 4.25" long name "Hoppy" appears below in rope type script. Image/name appear on both fenders. Saddle has been restored with new sheepskin under saddle. New leather saddle strings (lagitos) and cinch rings. All tooled surfaces appear to be original. Original wood stirrups and metal horn. A 2" split appears behind left of seat. Two .25" holes appear on either side to back of saddle. Uncertain of original purpose. Restoration has resulted in this being in VF condition. Rare. First we've seen.
