Item Description
Lot of 2 from 1954. First is "Electric Quiz Game" by Jacmar. 8x10x2" deep box contains complete battery-operated game. Includes six different two-sided question cards, insert has attached wires with selector tips and a red light bulb. Battery contacts are clean but we could not get the toy to light. Cards feature illustrations such as "Isle Of Volcania, Interior of Nautilus, Nautical Flags, 20,000 Leagues Characters," etc. Cards and insert have scattered aging and handling wear. Box has scattered trace of aging and edge wear with some surface paper rubs but remains tight. Overall Fine. School bag is 9.5x13.5" made of canvas/leatherette/vinyl. Has shoulder strap, 2 snap closure compartments on front, one for pencils featuring Nautilus silhouette, the other is embossed front panel with undersea scene of divers and shark. The two metal snaps have surface oxidation, other metal parts remain clean including bright luster on brass buckles. Shows trace of aging from storage over the years but does not appear to have been used. VF. Both items are scarce. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
