Item Description
11”x14.75” with 64 pages and stiff cardboard cover by Samuel Lowe Co. 1943. Front cover features nice image of boy painting Captain Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. Image is repeated on reverse. Contents are two complete Fawcett comic book stories and pay layout including several full color comic panels to be used as color guides for larger b/w matching illustrations. First story in book is “Captain Marvel Detective” and second is WWII related story “Captain Marvel Jr. And The Iron Heel Of The Huns.” Contents are lightly aged but supple. A few b/w images have been colored. Front cover has three letters written on boy’s cheek and part of Captain Marvel’s lightning bolt insignia has been colored red. Book has pinch creases to spine and corner tip wear to front and back cover as well as a 1”x8” strip of fading on upper right hand corner of front cover. FN.
