Item Description
About 16" wide and 20" tall w/additional 10" wire hanger at top. Balloon consists of eight printed paper panels. Two show repeat image and text reading "For President, Grover Cleveland." Two others show repeat image and text reading "For Vice President, Allen G. Thurman." The other panels show various images including an eagle on a shield and a G.A.R. medal. At the bottom of each panel reads "Manufactured By Sprague & French, Norwalk, Ohio." Panels are tapered resulting in a ball shape that is held on a wire and wooden mechanism similar to an umbrella. Red printing is light. Images and text of Cleveland and Thurman remains bold. Red panel has 1" and 1.5" hairline horizontal tears and 1.5" vertical seam tear. All minor defects. Rest has unavoidable small creases but displays clean and VF. The interior wire stretcher is just as rare as the paper balloon. Rarely found complete and this nice.
