Item Description
Mostly pre-1930s early issues and numerous rarities. Smallest is .5" cello with brass ears on back to hold cello cover and ink blotter sheets. Great image of Santa in red hat with face trimmed by "wild" hair and beard. Next is .75" cello flip. Santa is surrounded by holly wreath. Back text "H.P. Wasson & Co. Santa Claus Store." Tiny barely noticeable cello indent. c. 1900 by W&H. Next is 1.5" tall full figure cello flip by Ehrman. Early version. Back text "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Anderson's Pure Candy" plus Boston address. Next are two .75" with backpapers of Sunday School supplier David C. Cook. One has rounded hat, pointed beard and dark red coat. Other has peaked hat, rounded beard and brown coat. Trivial tiny age on the first. Next is 1" oval with W&H backpaper. Red just a tad faded. Last and best are three 7/8" without text and possible salesman's samples. Santa and girl has W&H paper 1912 or earlier, Santa at North Pole with bear and seal has no paper. Santa in car on roof has W&H paper c. 1913. These three are N. Mint and display Mint. We've seen less than 5 of each of these three.
