Item Description
8.5x10.75" sheet with bw image of Batman and Robin from cover of Batman #9 comic book. Image has 1943 Detective Comics Inc. copyright. "Boys And Girls!! Color This Sketch - 100 Passes Free - You Get One If Your Chart Is Selected." Coloring contest for passes to see 1949 "Batman And Robin" serial. Contest is for the Marboro Theater in Manhattan. Sheet has obvious wear with fold creases, aging, dust soiling. Almost all examples of these sheets are found with theater writing on back as is the case with this example. Good. Not much was produced in terms of merchandise for the 1940s Batman serials. Scarce. From the Craig Warren Collection.
