Item Description
Two 8.5”x11” sheets from 1944. First sheet in lot is Christmas newsletter from Captain Marvel Club with Christmas theme letterhead showing nice portrait detail of Captain Marvel as well as several Fawcett comic books: “Captain Marvel, Whiz Comics, Funny Animals, Captain Marvel Jr., Don Winslow Of The Navy and Captain Midnight.” Letter mentions Billy Batson, Freddie Freeman, Captain Marvel Jr., Mary Marvel, Hoppy The Marvel Bunny, Captain Midnight and Don Winslow. Letter also has WWII content and mentions Nazis and “Japs.” Both sheets have been folded twice horizontally for mailing. Newsletter has some light aging and handling wear but is otherwise Exc. Second sheet in lot is a flyer for premiums with text “Hi Pals, Look At These Bang-Up “MaRvels” and features several different premiums including “Dick Tracy’s Spine-Tingling Detective Kit!” Sheet has some light aging but is otherwise Exc.
